The Inspirational Journey of a TV Star
Those familiar with the Spanish-speaking entertainment industry, would easily recognize Sarah Mintz, but by the name Maritza Rodriguez, the actress and television personality from Colombia. For over 25 years, she lived a glamorous life, playing leading roles in series and telenovelas that were seen around the world.
Always in the spotlight, she was a TV host, actress, and model, However, she longed for true purpose, wondering if that was all there was, wishing, somehow, for a more spiritual life.
That search led her to Jerusalem, and to Shavei Israel and its Spanish-speaking conversion program, Machon Miriam. There she understood what her next step must be: converting to Judaism.
In 2021, Sarah fulfilled the dream of making Aliyah to Israel and now lives with her family in Jerusalem. In fact, she has come full circle and has now returned to Machon Miriam to be part of their team.
