A craftsman with soul
Some people find inspiration from their soul. Some people have inborn talent. When you have both together, you can expect beautiful things to emerge…
Samuel Samte, 21 years old, is a member of the Moreshet Bnei Menashe community hailing from Moreshet Bnei Menashe community in Manipur, in northeast India. A natural artist and craftsman, he loves to work with iron and wood, carving and welding different beautiful, religious items, such as Shabbat candle stands, mezuzah cases and other Judaica.
The Samtes are one of hundreds of Bnei Menashe families waiting to make aliyah. We hope he and his family will have their dream realized very soon. Without a doubt, he will find a ready audience in Israel and the Jewish world for his special crafts.
