City of Nof Hagalil bestows honorary citizenship on Michael Freund
This week the city of Nof Hagalil, under the leadership of Ronen Plaut, bestowed honorary citizenship on Shavei Israel founder and chairman Michael Freund, at a ceremony in honor of 65 years from the establishment of the city.
In a moving ceremony, Mayor Plaut extolled the praises of Freund, and all that he’s done for the Bnei Menashe and his contributions to the Bnei Menashe community as well as the city of Nof Hagalil.
Visibly touched, Michael Freund let Plaut and the dignitaries present know how moved he was to have been honored as such.
After a special video that the city put together to honor Michael, he was presented with a special plaque, as well as a ‘key to the city’.
