A personal “dayenu” for Passover from the Bnei Menashe
Lyon Fanai is one of the Bnei Menashe immigrants who, with Shavei Israel’s help, made aliyah to Israel. He wrote this personal “dayenu” to express his gratitude to Shavei Israel for making his life long journey possible. Dayenu is a hymn contained in the Passover Haggadah and sung during the Seder. It originally expressed the Israelites gratitude at being delivered by G-d from Egypt.
This Passover, over 200 Bnei Menashe will have just experienced their own personal Exodus, and celebrate their first seder in Israel.
To support more dayenus, please consider making a contribution to Shavei Israel’s important work bringing home this “lost tribe.”
A happy Passover to you – wherever you are in the world!
