Malka Sitlhou and family are praying to make aliyah soon!

The countdown has begun! In just 7 days, Malka Sitlhou and her family will be reunited with Malka’s sister, Rachel, who already lives in Israel with her family. Malka’s father instilled in her the dream of aliyah. He sadly passed away before being able to make aliyah himself. We continue our series, “Bnei Menashe – in their own words,” profiling Bnei Menashe families who will be making aliyah in the coming days. But to do so, we need your help. You can sponsor a Bnei Menashe family for just $4,000 per immigrant, covering transit from India plus the costs of sustaining each new immigrant in our absorption center, including room and board, Hebrew ulpan and more. Here’s Malka’s story.

I was born in 1993, the third among eight children in my family. We have been practicing Judaism since 2001. Presently I am pursuing a bachelor degree at the Churachandpur Govt. College.

When my father Yona Sitlhou was alive, he always had the dream of making aliyah to the Holy Land. When he passed away in 2009, before being able to come to Israel, it was very difficult and sad for us. But his dream was carried on by my mother, Tzofia Sitlhou, who continued to encourage and inspire us to lead a true Jewish life and instilled in us the importance of making aliyah.

My sister Rachel Haokip already lives in Israel with her family. We all had a dream to be in Eretz Israel one day, and that dream is finally coming true with the help of Shavei Israel.

Thank you Shavei Israel for fulfilling not only our dreams but also the dreams of my late father to perform the mitzvot in the Promised Land. May our Almighty G-d continue to shower his blessing upon Am Israel and Shavei Israel.

Please help us fulfill the dream of my father and of my entire family by helping Shavei Israel bring us home to Jerusalem. You can make a donation by visiting this link.
