Making aliyah: Meet David Gangte
David Gangte and family
My name is David Gangte, son of Oved Jangsei Gangte. I am 29-years-old and married to a loving and beautiful lady named Elianna. We are blessed with two lovely children – our son Ben Khayil and daughter Rafaeli. We live in Imphal, the capital city of the state of Manipur, and belong to Beith-El Langol community.
I’m a businessman specializing in the field of clothing and footwear. My business partner and I work in both Manipur and the neighboring country of Myanmar (Burma).
I have participated in a number of seminars and activities organized by Shavei Israel and, as a Shavei “Fellow,” I also travel with my colleagues to different communities in Manipur, where I teach classes in Judaism.
I hope to make aliyah soon, where I plan to learn a new profession to support my family with dignity in Eretz Israel (the Land of Israel). Most of all, my wife and I dream of raising our children in the State of Israel in the ways of Hashem (G-d).
