Bnei Menashe – in their own words: Aezron Thouthang, Imphal, Manipur

Aezron Thouthang and family
Today we begin a new series, “Bnei Menashe – in their own words.” In the coming weeks, we will present the stories of some of the Bnei Menashe families who are praying to make aliyah this summer. But to do so, we need your help. You can sponsor a Bnei Menashe family for just $4,000 per immigrant. This covers transportation from India plus the costs of sustaining each new immigrant in our absorption center, including room and board, Hebrew ulpan and more.
Meet Aezron Thouthang and his family.
Since childhood, I have been raised in a Jewish family with much love and care from my parents who taught me the mitzvot, about keeping kosher and how to lead a true Jewish life.
My father told me once that we don’t belong to this place and one day we will return to our land, Israel. Indeed, since I was a young boy, I have been longing for Eretz Israel but it was a long wait!
Today, I am married to Ruth Touthang and have two children Tzvi and Reuben. I feel that if I don’t make aliyah and live in Israel, there is something incomplete as a Jew. I also would like to live in the land that was promised by G-d to our forefathers.
My grandparents Joshi Helkam Touthang and Esther Thenneng Touthang made aliyah already in 2012. Finally our prayers have been answered too and now we are ready to make aliyah to the Holy Land.
Our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Shavei Israel. May G-d continue to guide and bless Shavei Israel and Am Israel (the people of Israel).
Please help us make our dreams come true by helping Shavei Israel bring us home to Jerusalem. You can make a donation by visiting this link.
