Shavei Israel emissary directs his first wedding in El Salvador
October 9th was a very special day of consecutive joy, many emotions and a happy atmosphere for the families of the Beit Israel community in San Salvador. Rabbi Elisha Salas, who recently started his activity as Shavei Israel’s emissary for local Bnei Anousim, shared some pictures from these amazing events.
Among them – the wedding of Yehudit Bat Abraham and Moises Hernandez, the first wedding directed by Rabbi Salas as rabbi of the El Salvador community. According to Rabbi Salas, the wedding was celebrated in an atmosphere of love, when the whole community felt as one big family.
“This is the living Nation of Israel,” says Rabbi Salas. “In the middle of a place where it has suffered a lot, today we feel loved and accepted thanks to God and thanks to Shavei Israel.”
