Maani Center attracts more then 30 visitors to lecture about Bnei Anousim
The Maani Center of Shavei Israel continues its efforts to preserve the heritage of Jewish descendants from different communities all over the world. A new lecture that took place in our Jerusalem office attracted more than 30 participants eager to learn more about Bnei Anousim of Europe and Latin America. The lecture was delivered by Edith Blaustein, Shavei Israel’s Vice-President, and for the first time the language of the event was Spanish.
One of the special guests of the lecture was Sara Israel, the author of “Vasijas Reparadas” (“Repaired Vessels”) who presented her book and shared her personal story with other visitors. As usual, we’re happy to share a recording of the speech – especially for those who were not able to attend personally.
Recently, a growing number of Bnei Anousim in Spain, Portugal and countries of the South America have been emerging from the shadows of history and seeking to reconnect with the Jewish people and return to the faith of their forefathers. The number of guests of the lecture, listening attentively and asking questions about cultural and religious tradition of Bnei Anousim is the best evidence of this increasing interest. We are glad to share more pictures of the event! Please stay tuned for more events of the Maani Center.
