Liron Menelon

My name is Liron Menelon.
I arrived in Israel on February 11, 2000 and did not know any Hebrew. I have two uncles in Kiryat Arba where I also lived. My Hebrew I learned in an Ulpan. Afterwards I went to live with my uncles.
I began to work in kindergartens for three years. Afterwards, the Shavei Israel organization opened a course for advanced nurse’s assistants. I joined and my Hebrew improved. I completed the course and began to work in the field, in the same hospital where I had studied.
Before I studied, I did not know what it was all about but when I began the studies I loved it, but it was very hard work for a young woman. As time went on, the Shavei Israel organization opened a course for cosmeticians. I again joined and enjoyed this course.
At that time, I married an Israeli while I continued my career. It was a difficult period. Relations between my husband and I were excellent, though sometimes I did not have time for him. Now after finishing the course, everything improved over what it was before.
Right now, I am working as a councilor in Pardess Hannah, counseling new immigrants from India. I love my work very much and enjoy every moment. It makes me feel good because people know where to turn when they have problems or needs. I am happy to help them and I hope that my whole family who remained in India will arrive shortly…

        Regards,
Liron Menelon
