A Tor\u00e1 nos diz: &#8220;Honre a teu pai e a tua m\u00e3e&#8221;, e em seguida diz: &#8220;Honre teu D&#8217;us&#8221;, nossas s\u00e1bios explicam a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre estas duas honras, como um ensinamento de que aquele que honra os pais \u00e9 como se estivesse honrando o pr\u00f3prio D&#8217;us!<\/p>\n<p>Na verdade, existem duas Mitzvot (preceitos): honrar e respeitar. E qual \u00e9 a diferen\u00e7a?<\/p>\n<p>Honrar significa: servir e ajudar os pais sempre que poss\u00edvel e necess\u00e1rio, levantar-se quando um dos pais entra no ambiente, aliment\u00e1-los e vesti-los.<\/p>\n<p>Respeitar significa: n\u00e3o se sentar no lugar em que os pais se sentam, n\u00e3o contradize-los na frente deles (h\u00e1 sempre uma maneira discreta de poder fazer isso), e mesmo quando n\u00e3o esteja na frente dele, embora seja permitido contradiz\u00ea-lo, deve faz\u00ea-lo de maneira respeitosa. N\u00e3o deve-se referir aos pais pelos seus nomes e etc.<\/p>\n<p>Entretanto, existe um limite neste preceito. Ao escrever sobre o mandamento de honrar os pais, a Tor\u00e1 nos ensina em Lev\u00edtico 19:3, que &#8220;Cada um temer\u00e1 a sua m\u00e3e e a seu pai, e guardar\u00e1 os meus s\u00e1bados. Eu sou o Senhor vosso D&#8217;us.&#8221; E nossos s\u00e1bios questionam a rela\u00e7\u00e3o da Mitzv\u00e1 de temer os pais com a de respeitar o dia santo do Shabat, e respondem que D&#8217;us dessa forma nos ensina que, caso os pais lhe digam para transgredir algum preceito da Tor\u00e1 (como o Shabat), voc\u00ea n\u00e3o dev\u00ea ouvi-los, pois o respeito a D&#8217;us \u00e9 maior que o deles.<\/p>\n<p>Ao se tratar de preju\u00edzos financeiros \u00e9 aconselh\u00e1vel se consultar com uma autoridade rab\u00ednica, mas normalmente os filhos n\u00e3o devem se responsabilizar pelos preju\u00edzos de seus pais, especialmente quando isso afeta a estes mesmos!<!--:--><!--:es--><!--:--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PERGUNTA &#8211;&gt; O mandamento de &#8220;honrar o pai e a m\u00e3e&#8221; se refere a fazer tudo, mas tudo mesmo, pelos pais?
